This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and is directed to parents and guardians of children under 13 in the United States and similar jurisdictions.
1. Our commitment
Deep Sea Tycoon is a family-friendly game. We comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and apply similar protections globally where feasible.
2. Information we collect from children
With parental consent only, we may collect:
- A display name (nickname) chosen for the child
- Gameplay data (progress, fish, decorations — no real-world location)
- Technical identifiers needed to save progress (account ID)
- Parent email to document consent and for account management
We do not collect from children:
- Photo, voice, or precise location
- Open chat or social posts
- Advertising identifiers for behavioral ads
3. How we use children’s information
- Operate and sync the game
- Provide parental dashboard and deletion tools
- Maintain security and comply with law
We do not use children’s data for behavioral advertising.
4. Parental consent
Before a child under 13 plays, a parent or guardian must:
- Review this notice and the Privacy Policy
- Provide their email in the app
- Complete the in-app parent verification step
- Accept terms on the child’s behalf
Phase 1: Email + in-app parent gate + server record.
Phase 2 (planned): Email verification link for stronger verifiable consent — subject to legal review.
5. Parental rights
Parents may:
- Review what data we hold — email [email protected]
- Delete the child’s data via in-app parent tools or `DELETE /v1/parent/child-data` when linked to a parent account
- Refuse further collection by deleting the account
6. Sharing
We share children’s data only with service providers listed in Subprocessors, under contractual obligations consistent with COPPA.
7. Retention
We retain data only as long as needed for the game or as required by law, then delete or anonymize per Account Deletion.
